Prolly the best Rib-eye in the state of California. All of the food is absolutely amazing

They sat us and gave us water. In the center of the dinning room. Sat there for 20minutes with out anyone asking what we want to drink or eat. We just left. Horrible service.

Waitress was great. Food presentation was unappetizing. The dressings and sauces blended together make everything taste the same. Bread was awesome. Expected better quality.

We have enjoyed many very nice meals at DogWood. The food is good to great, depending on your palate, but the preparation and service is very good. Truly a gem in Arnold.

Went to dinner here the other night. We were seated outside which was wonderful because it was such a beautiful night. Our server (can't remember her name) was AWESOME! She read us the specials and they all sounded great. I think we all ordered a special. Dinner came and it was DELICIOUS!! No complaints about anything. Well worth a trip here to eat. Will definitely be coming back for sure!! 👍

I love Don's restaurant and go often. Best restaurant in Arnold by a long shot, especially if you like a protein-based menu. For apps, just get the grilled artichokes. Don also has specials every night. I'll attach some photos of dishes my wife and I have enjoyed since his opening last summer.

We enjoyed another great meal at Dogwoid tonight. Don has an amazing passion for exquisite cuisine and we are fortunate to have his restaurant in Arnold.

Table for 10 so we sampled the majority of the menu and everything was excellent. Highly recommend Dogwood if you're going to be in the area and want a higher end dinner

This restaurant is extraordinary and spacious, the meals was yummy and the rates were very affordable. quickly, productive service and very affable waiters. I highly recommend this place.

Food was good, but not up to pricing. Service was slow and the server was smileless and bored.

Food not bad but the staff. The owner employs drug users the dishwasher lady for a fact is a meth user. Its a shame the restaurant could be great.

Upscale dining with prices to match. However the service was indifferent, and my meal had to be sent back to be further cooked.

Great location, nice service, but bland food. I ordered the rib eye special and the meat had almost no flavor save the blue cheese glaze. This was my second time here and both times I have been underwhelmed considering the cost of the food. The artichoke appetizer was excellent, though.

The food is so good that you will have to try it to understand. One problem for me and that is the restaurant is about 10 hours from my home. Looking forward to my next vacation.

My son took me there for my birthday dinner excellent food and they had gluten-free options

Unfortunately, this restaurant was a disappointing experience. My family dined here 10/20 and I was embarrassed at the overpriced food and uncaring service. The entire feel from the moment we arrived for our reservation was that not one staff member was glad to see us. If you have quality food, at decent prices, served with love and care we would return time and again. We did not experience any of that.

One of our goto places in Arnold. Getting kind of pricey but good and outstanding service.

Great food. Don and his staff do it right. Great meal, great wine. Been in the industry 26 years and the evening was certainly one of the top 10 dinners the wife and I have had. Highly recommend.

Best food in Arnold. As good or better then San Francisco restaurants. Service was great . Wine list is awesome. We will be going here again and again

We had an outstanding meal here tonight. The chicken stuffed with blue cheese was delicious. Service was attentive.

Sad to be down to 8 tables and takeout, but SO glad they are still alive. Dinner was awesome! Specials included halibut and smoked ribs.

Server was great. Ordered the short rib...sauce was so salty I could not eat it.

It looked quite fancy, but when my family got there, the biggest table was under reservation and would not get there until 7. We got there at 5:30 and just left because the people there were looking at us like we were an inconvenience. 2 stars because of the way they acted toward us.

Four of us ordered four different entrees. Every entree got shared and produced rave reviews amongst us. When a restaurant leaves a person wanting to return the next day and try something else with confidence that it will be just as good as the first time you ate there it rates five stars in my books!

A quaint little restaurant with an upscale feel, Dogwood is one of those surprises you wouldn’t expect in a small foothill town like Arnold. With a limited gourmet menu, and wonderful nightly specials, this place definitely feels like you’re getting more of a big city experience as far as the entrees go than the small restaurant it is. I had the scallops which were amazing, but at $36 for this entree, it needed to be. Delicious fresh bread and butter were served along side the dinner, and arrived to our table fresh and right out of the oven. We finished our dinner with a salted Carmel chocolate cake which was to die for. I don’t normally care that much for any type cake, but this slice, which was chocolate Carmel salted heaven, was the best I’d ever had! I highly recommend this restaurant.

The artichoke appetizer was amazing and they had 6 specials. Both of us ordered a special and it was great. Very intimate atmosphere without being stuffy. Meat and seafood lover's dream!

LOVE this place! My husband and I go here every time we come up to Arnold. The food is always so delicious and fresh. The staff is amazing. This is by fa the best place to eat for miles!!

Six of us shared a table on the deck. We loved everything about Dogwood! Our server was gracious and attentive, her assistant also did her job with a smile and thoughtfulness. The roasted pear salad was delicious and the short ribs with garlic mashed was fork tender! We had coffee and a lemon dessert with berry drizzle that was a work of art in addition to being scrumptious. All in all a marvelous evening! Thanks Dogwood!

The spot is extraordinary and spacious, the food was delicious and the rates were very inexpensive. quick, efficient service and very attentive staff. I recommend this place.

Our food didn't have much flavor

My wife and I have dined here more than a dozen times in the last year. This is truly the best high end restaurant around. The standard menu is very nice. My favorites are the Ancho Chili and Coffee rubbed Flat Iron Steak (no, it doesn't taste like coffee) and the Clark's Chicken breast. The breast is stuffed with a blue cheese mousse, caramelized shallot-whipped potatoes and Frank's Red Hot butter sauce. My wife adores the Ribeye steak. The weekly specials add a variety to the standard menu. This is also the only place around that offers really great fish and seafood specials.

We came in at 5:45 and were the only ones there. All the waitresses and staffs just looked at us like we were aliens. They sat us down. No smile at all. After almost 1 hour wait, the food came out. The service was not good. I ordered medium rare steak. And it was too raw that my husband suggested me not to eat because it was still "moving".

Delicious food, great service in a clean,nice atmosphere. The carrot cake is exceptionally good.

Pricey meat was just standard a little dry even tho I got mine med rare. Was hoping for a little more tasty from a chef ran restaurant potatoes were great. Ambiance was ok nice and quaint.

So we went to Angels Camp for my Birthday, and my nephew wanted to take us to dinner and said he loved this place...It was probably one of the most amazing meals I have ever had... The restuarant is quaint, but comfortable... The food was outstanding... From the fresh bread, to the appetizers to the entree's, Fresh and flavorful.... Served beautifully... The wine was outstanding - wines I never heard of, but local. You would have thought you were in Palo Alto or San Francisco. I will defenitely be going back again!!

Great food, wonderful atmosphere and the steaks and deserts were fantastic. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant. Will go back soon. Celebrating my wife's birthday there tonight was a perfect evening , the staff is warm and very friendly.

I like this venue very much. there is a nice feeling. The cuisine is wonderful. the service is powerful and the waiters are friendly. The pay is decent. very much recommend.

Delicious salmon dinner, grilled artichoke appetizer with meyer lemon aoili. Great wine, relaxing, small dining room, excellent service. Highly recommend, it's a bit expensive but completely worth the splurge.
